Glass floats were originally used by Japanese fishermen in the 1930s and 1940s to keep their nets afloat. Many of these beautiful, hand-blown glass orbs drifted ashore along the Oregon coast, creating a connection to the past that’s still felt today.
Though our glass floats hark back to those originals, ours a more artistic and decorative. Whether placed on your mantel, used as a statement piece in the garden, or displayed in a coastal-inspired setting, these floats make an exquisite addition to any space.

Additionally, each float is available with two distinct options for display:
Foot (for sitting): Perfect for displaying on tables, shelves, or in your garden.
Hook (for hanging): Ideal for hanging in your garden, on a Christmas tree, or on a hanging stand.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. If you're local to Seal Rock, Oregon, or in the surrounding area, we offer pick-up in-store as an option—just select it during checkout.
Packaging: We take extra care when shipping our glass floats. Each item is double-boxed to ensure it arrives safely. The first box contains the float, wrapped in protective bubble wrap. The second, larger box is filled with packing peanuts to cushion the float and absorb any minor impacts during transit. We want to make sure your item arrives in perfect condition!
On the rare occasion that your float arrives broken, please take photos of the item and the packaging, then contact us immediately.
Each glass float is handmade by our in house glassblower Amanda Williams, making each one truly unique. While we keep a large stock of floats available for immediate shipping, some pieces may need to be made to order.
Please allow up to 1 week for production and processing before your item ships. Rest assured, every float is carefully crafted with attention to detail and quality.
