These are the current versions of the Fluted Shades.

The example on the left shows the original color wrap, where the colors are added by wrapping them like soft taffy around the main piece of glass over a solid opaque layer of color. Applying the color this way creates a sweeping, blending movement of color, augmented by the opaque background color.

The center photo shows our more recent color wrap v2.0. The main colors are still applied as a wrap, but the solid opaque background color is eliminated. It sounds like a minor change, but it results in some interesting differences.
- Lastly, on the right is a shade with the color swirl. The colors are applied directly to the piece as small pieces of frit (the form that glass color comes in), which creates a quite different appearance.
