These are the current versions of the Large Shades.
- On the left, the color wrap version is where the colors are added by wrapping them like soft taffy around the main piece of glass over a solid opaque layer of color. Applying the color this way creates a sweeping, blending movement of color, augmented by the opaque background color.
- To the right, the color swirl has the colors applied directly to the piece as small pieces of frit (the form that glass color comes in), which creates a quite different appearance.
